Old Dogs and Children and Watermelon Wine

I had intended to wrap up my series on outsourcing in the Philippines this week, but those of you who have been with me for awhile know that my editor, Bufford, is a lovable old basset hound and is a very important part of my life.  He has been very ill this week and the vet says he probably isn't going to make it. I am prepared for the worst.

He is getting old and we have had a lot of good times together.  Right now he is resting comfortably beside me and I wanted to explain another disruption in man's best laid plans.

In some ways it seems only appropriate this series include Bufford.  It may be the last thing he gets to edit. I hope to be back on track by Friday but a song a has been going through my head all day today as I have thought about the street kids of the Philippines and those who have been sold into slavery, followed up by Bufford's illness.

It just seems to fit here and says what is on my heart today.

This is for all the Philippine children.  This is for Bufford.  And this is for you, my readers.
