Memorial Day - Honoring Those Who Gave All

Memorial Day 2010

I had originally said I would be posting about Jeepneys today but I had forgotten today was Memorial day.  In some ways there is a tie in there, but I won't try to make that connection.  I want to visit the Wall and pay honor to two friends.  One I knew and one I didn't.

Things have change at the electronic version of the Wall.  You can no longer make post on individual names because it bacame impossible for the volunteers to control the spam on all the many different names.  Now all you are allowed to do is make an entry in a central guest book.  I did and left.




To all of those who gave their lives, their time away from their families, or whatever sacrifice it might have
 been so that I might have my freedom and enjoy the civil liberties I enjoy today . . . thank you.
